Stateside Right of Way Services is a Texas-based provider of turnkey right of way planning, negotiation, acquisition, and relocation services.
Founded by Diane Burkhardt Valek in 2009, Stateside Right of Way negotiates for and acquires rights of way for both public projects (highways, water lines, sidewalks, etc.) and private (pipelines, utilities, etc.). We work hand-in-hand with landowners and our clients who are composed of cities, counties, water districts, gas pipelines, TXDOT, NTTA, and more.
Stateside has been responsible for all aspects of the right of way process, including detailed multiple alternative route cost estimates, cash-flow forecasts for survey, environmental, legal, demolition, acquisition, relocation, utility relocation, and construction. Stateside has chaired right of way meetings that maintained oversight and coordinated legal, survey, engineering, appraisals, titles, environmental and all pending pre-construction activities. On numerous projects, past and present, Stateside agents have presented to CEOs, board members and the public regarding projects and the challenges that can come with them.
“We have worked with all levels of private and public organizations to deliver positive outcomes with industry-leading low condemnation rates, yielding the results our clients need with minimal levels of citizen impact,” Valek says.
Stateside has been dedicated to the right of way services business since our very beginning, which gives us a very deep knowledge and experience base. Larger firms may claim that they have more staff involved in your projects, but none can match the local expertise and in-depth knowledge you’ll receive from Stateside’s dedicated Right of Way Services experts.
Stateside is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) provider. We dedicate our staff to your project with unparalleled integrity and attention to detail.
With Stateside, your projects are delivered “audit ready.” Stateside has Texas property law experience, and we have presented extensively across the state advising clients on working with the Federal Uniform Act and Texas Senate Bill 18.
As large increasingly becomes the norm for transportation projects, you can rely on Stateside to work side-by-side with your team to keep projects on track and on budget.
“Diane and her team were very organized and hardworking…they were able to resolve complex issues by thinking outside the box, working collaboratively with other consultants and being part of the greater project team. The Stateside team was very successful because they were attentive to detail and worked well with the surveying and engineering group to keep everyone ahead of schedule.”
